Summary
The Credit & Collections Specialist will report to the Director of Credit and handle a portfolio of business-to-business customers. The portfolio will include a territory and some National Accounts. Responsibilities will be setting credit limits, collecting, and helping resolve disputes. Collecting will be via phone, e-mail, and mail.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
What you will do
  • Review credit reports, bank references, trade references, and occasionally financial statements to set a credit limit for a new customer or review one for an existing customer.
  • Identify and locate delinquent customers to collect payments or resolve disputes. This may be done via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Liaison between external customers and internal customers to help resolve disputes preventing payment.
  • Advise external customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment to prevent product or service delays.
  • Identify, organize, and document all efforts using computer systems. This includes details about customers and their financial status.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Accounting preferred
  • Bachelors Business Administration/Management preferred
  • Bachelors Marketing preferred
  • Bachelors Communications preferred
  • 2+ Years Business-to-business Credit & Collections preferred. Strong Excel skills a plus. ERP system experience and familiarity with accounts receivable specific software is a plus. preferred
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
  • National Association of Credit Management (NACM) Certification a plus. preferred

  • This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
