Job description

Serves as customer service contact point for the servicing of loans originated by the Consumer and Commercial Lending Departments as well as applicable loans from the branch lending network. Reviews loans prior to sending to Consolidated Loan Operations (CLO) for boarding to the appropriate system. Assists bank employees and customers with questions and resolution of issues related to the posting of payments, quoting of payoffs, and other information related to the servicing of the loan. Works directly with CLO to make corrections to the system or otherwise resolve questions/issues. Responsible for paid file review, release of collateral, and mailings to customers of appropriate documents related to payoff. Responsible for opening and processing department mail, including but not limited to payments, address changes, payoffs, insurance documentation and other requests. Assists the Collector with loan collection activities, including customer correspondence and records. Prepares and directs entries made in relation to charged-off loans and repossessed vehicles. Receives and processes various forms of collection- and account verification-related correspondence. Responsible for bankruptcy's in accordance to the Holding Company procedure. Serves as the bank's primary representative for force-placed insurance, working with State National Companies, or other third-party provider.
Works closely with Boone County Market Commercial and Consumer Lending officers and assistants for the timely booking and funding of new loans originated by those departments. Responsible for timely posting of payments and payoffs received in Credit Administration. Responds to inquiries from customers and bank personnel regarding loan activity and other servicing functions. Responsible for timely processing of paid loan files to ensure compliance with state statutes and federal regulations governing release of liens following payoff. Works closely with Collector in determining value of repossessed vehicles and writing up charge offs. Responsible for timely mailing of appropriate notifications regarding repossessions and sale of repossessed collateral. Responsible for timely delivery of appropriate notifications for force-placed insurance. Responsible for accurate responses to collection- and verification-related inquiries and correspondence.
Reviews and processes loans ready for booking from the Commercial and Consumer Lending areas, as well as branch lenders and assistants. Receives payments and payoffs for posting in regular mail deliveries provided to Credit Administration by the Operations Department as well as customers and bank personnel. Reviews system- generated daily reports of paid loans and other exception reports. Receives information on all newly obtained repossessed vehicles from Collector or Personal Lending Department management and completes tasks associated with this process. Receives notification of force-placed insurance transactions from State National Companies, or other third-party vendor. Receives assignment of additional duties and projects from Credit Administration department management. Performs duties with minimal supervision and direct review from department management. The Credit Administration Assistant Vice President and Manager will directly supervise this position and will serve in evaluating performance.
Interacts with bank personnel and external customers in processing of payments, payoffs, booking loans, and responding to inquiries. Works with existing and former customers in answering questions regarding loan activity and loan payoffs. Works with existing and new customers to obtain proof of acceptable insurance. Regular communication with contacts at State National Companies, third-party collection agencies, and recovery agents. Interacts with all lending departments and other Credit Administration personnel.
Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
Requirements:
Must have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while completing tasks accurately and providing excellent customer service. Must be able to work well with minimal supervision.
Highly proficient with Banking, Excel, AccuAccount, and Word. Office equipment includes the PC, multi-line telephone, scan station, desktop scanner, and the multi-function device (print/copy/fax/scan).
