The Credentialing Specialist is a remote position with requirements to be located within 2 hours drive from Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
As a Credentialing Specialist, you will routinely credential and reconfirm credentialing of all clinic locations and Nurse Practitioners for Medicare, Medicaid and all commercial insurance carriers. You will work independently with resources available for assistance. Every day, you will be attentive to detailed information with various health insurance carriers.
Previous medical billing experience is preferred. Some of the work cross over into billing support.
What You’ll Do Every Day
- Obtain and maintain all credentialing for all locations and all Nurse Practitioners
- Communicate with and assist new Nurse Practitioners through the credentialing process
- Verify health insurance by communicating with insurance carriers
- Assist patients with billing questions and take payments
- Assist coworkers with insurance and billing questions
