Credentialing Assistant Remote

The Credentialing Assistant primarily supports the provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes for Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This is a Full-Time remote position. This individual must be a self starter and have access to a work environment that allows them to focus on their work and complete daily assigned tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides administrative/clerical support
• Monitor the department Email boxes for facility requests and inquiries
• Composes and responds by email to correspondence
• Maintains electronic spreadsheets and databases
• Send the application links from the MD-APP credentialing platform to providers
• Follow up on outstanding applications and necessary information via email and phone
• Other assigned duties as required

ABILITIES:

• Maintains strict confidentiality with demonstrated experience applying good judgment and discretion
• Strong detail oriented skills with exceptional ability to plan, organize, and implement a plan to completion
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with medical staff and external agencies
• Communicates clearly with providers, their liaisons, other entities, and surgery center leadership
• Exercise sound judgment in decision-making
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and reach multiple deadlines
• Prioritize duties and be self-motivated
• Work effectively within a team environment
• Deal courteously with internal and external customers
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other industry specific software
• Type 40-50 wpm
