The Credentialing Assistant primarily supports the provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes for Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This is a Full-Time remote position. This individual must be a self starter and have access to a work environment that allows them to focus on their work and complete daily assigned tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides administrative/clerical support
- Monitor the department Email boxes for facility requests and inquiries
- Composes and responds by email to correspondence
- Maintains electronic spreadsheets and databases
- Send the application links from the MD-APP credentialing platform to providers
- Follow up on outstanding applications and necessary information via email and phone
- Other assigned duties as required
ABILITIES:
- Maintains strict confidentiality with demonstrated experience applying good judgment and discretion
- Strong detail oriented skills with exceptional ability to plan, organize, and implement a plan to completion
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with medical staff and external agencies
- Communicates clearly with providers, their liaisons, other entities, and surgery center leadership
- Exercise sound judgment in decision-making
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and reach multiple deadlines
- Prioritize duties and be self-motivated
- Work effectively within a team environment
- Deal courteously with internal and external customers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other industry specific software
- Type 40-50 wpm
