We have an opening for a Creative Producer to join the Strategic Communications department at MCA Chicago. Reporting to the Director of Creative, the Producer is responsible for defining and managing the work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for all projects for the Creative team. Day-to-day, the Creative Producer will collaborate with various stakeholder teams to be informed of current and upcoming projects requiring creative resources to guide appropriate resource allocations. To be successful in this role, you must:
• Establish partnerships within the museum, Creative team, and other project stakeholders to understand collective scopes of work, expertise, and team resources available.
• Partner with Director of Creative to evaluate intake requests for projects and assign resources appropriately according to skillset, experience, and areas of expertise or aspirations.
• With the Director of Creative, build project schedules for marketing, exhibition, and other creative projects.
• Ensure the Creative team's time investment aligns with identified museum priorities.
• Assign projects and tasks to Creative team within project management system, collaborating with Director of Creative on expected time investment.
• Lead or actively participate in weekly or bi-weekly stand-ups to review needs and continually reprioritize resources as needed.
• Manage scheduling and agendas for review of creative concepts and executions.
• Oversee creative group assignments and structure, propose adjustments in structure as needed to align with museum priorities.
• Work to improve the day-to-day of the Creative team, making sure they can be as effective as possible in their roles, constantly looking for ways to make their jobs easier by improving cross-functional relationships, identifying gaps/issues with workflows, etc.
• Manage communications, timelines, and workflow between the Creative team, internal stakeholders, contractors, freelancers, and vendors across multiple projects.
• Streamline and centralize internal databases of creative talent including management and approval of contracts.
• Help the MCA's Strategic Communications and Content Strategy teams build out process documents, maintain records, and manage archiving projects to the server.
• Manage project budgets to include estimates, confirmation of deliverables, invoice approval, and payment while maintaining the budget tracker.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • 5 to 7 years professional experience in resource or project management, working in agency or brand environment or equivalent experience.
    • Project management experience with proven ability to successfully manage large scale projects and initiatives.
    • Comfort working under accelerated timelines and multitasking to manage various projects.
    • Ability to communicate detailed information in a clear, organized manner.
    • Ability to effectively say "no" and address concerns.
    • Proficiency in project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, Basecamp, etc.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Ability to listen and understand team and project needs as well as a willingness to collaborate for solutions.

$53,140 - $69,080 a year
This is a full-time position, with a Monday - Friday 9a-5p schedule that may occasionally include evening and weekend availability as required to fulfill responsibilities and for related museum activities. Ability to operate computers, printers, and telephones and general mobility throughout all museum properties required.
