About Pratt Retail Specialties:

This role is integral to achieving best-in-class merchandising, product innovation, animation, 3D rendering, structural design, and graphic design.
Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and champion the creative vision for Pratt Retail Specialties, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction to the creative team, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer expectations, and brand positioning.

  • Best-in-Class Merchandising:

    • Lead the development and execution of visually stunning, engaging, and effective in-store and online merchandising strategies.
    • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to integrate merchandising initiatives across various retail channels.

  • Product Innovation:

    • Spearhead the ideation and implementation of innovative product solutions, staying ahead of industry trends.
    • Collaborate closely with product development teams to introduce cutting-edge and market-leading packaging concepts.

  • Animation and 3D Design:

    • Oversee the creation of captivating animations and 3D designs that enhance the visual appeal of our products and brand.
    • Collaborate with animation and design teams to bring packaging concepts to life in a dynamic and engaging manner.

  • Structural Design:

    • Lead the structural design team in creating packaging solutions that not only stand out aesthetically but also optimize functionality and durability.
    • Ensure that structural designs align with manufacturing capabilities and cost-effective production processes.

  • Graphic Design:

    • Set the creative direction for graphic design, ensuring consistency across all visual elements of the brand.
    • Work closely with the graphic design team to produce visually compelling and cohesive brand materials.

    Integration with New Business Efforts:
    • Collaborate with the business development team to infuse creativity into new business initiatives, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that align with Pratt Retail Specialties' values and objectives.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar creative leadership role within the retail or packaging industry.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns, merchandising strategies, and innovative designs.
    • Expertise in animation, 3D design, structural design, and graphic design.
    • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Up-to-date with industry trends and emerging design technologies.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    REASONING ABILITY
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    • Teaching skills in order to function effectively as a teacher for his personnel both in the technical and administrative parts of the position.

    • Excellent employee relations skills including being an active listener, understanding how to appraise personnel, applying both positive and corrective feedback, being able to resolve conflicts either involving the supervisor directly or as a third party, understands and demonstrates positive motivational skills including coaching and delegation techniques.
    • Demonstrated confidence including providing a consistent leadership style with an acceptable level of professional assertiveness.
    • Professional appearance to support his/her role as a managerial representative of the company.
