Perform, create, design, and execute 2029 and beyond concept and future Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Autonomous Vehicle (AV) (sport utility vehicle (SUV)/crossover utility vehicle(CUV)) design programs including design of full vehicle exterior body in white systems, including doors, roof systems, hoods, trunks, rocker panels, front and rear fenders, front and rear fascias, fascia clips, A/B/C/D pillars, Daylight Opening (DLO), head lamps, tail lamps, rear lamps, turn signals, wheels, radiator grilles, outside rear view mirrors, antennas, door handles, and roof racks, using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Autodesk Alias Studio, Maya, VRED, KeyShot, and PowerPoint tools. Create 2D original idea sketch proposals of exterior concept vehicles and new types of passenger vehicles using conventional/digital pen drawing skills and tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Work with GM engineering department, execute chosen design theme of major program/mid cycle model (MCM)/design concept programs from Program Framing Initiation (PFI) to Document of Strategic Intent (DSI) to Single Theme Direction (STD) to Vehicle Program Initiation (VPI) to Design Sign Off (DSO) to Styling Freeze (SF) and all the way to Verified Data Release (VDR) following GM Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP) to ensure the design meets quality, cost and timing requirement for the U.S., global and emerging markets.
Additional Description
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Design or Industrial Design and Twelve months’ (12) experience as Automotive, Exterior or Creative Designer, or related. Must also have experience with: designing, and executing future electric vehicle design of full vehicle exterior body in white systems, including fascias, lamps, turn signals, wheels, outside rear view mirrors, and door handles, using Photoshop, InDesign, Autodesk AliasStudio, Maya, VRED, and KeyShot tools.
