Job Title:Residential Specialist CRC

Reports to: Operations Manager

Level: Experienced

Location: Chattanooga

Classification: Part-time, non-exempt

Education: HS+

Travel %: None

Job Shift: Day, evening, overnight

Mission:

The Next Door provides a continuum of evidence-based substance abuse and mental health services for women in an environment of faith and healing to restore hope and a lifetime of recovery.


Summary:

Provide safety and security of residence after office hours. Assist residents with emergency and non-emergency needs, problem solve with assistance of on-call staff as needed. Cooperation with the other residential relief specialist(s).


Primary Responsibilities and Duties include the following:

  • Be available to residents for immediate concerns or needs.
  • Inform on-call staff regarding a resident’s tardiness or non-return, relapse, injuries, threats, illness, etc.
  • Conduct room checks often while on duty and as needed for safety.
  • Provide hourly facility surveillance regarding safety, security, and curfews.
  • Perform urine drug screens and breathalyzer as requested by staff or on suspicion.
  • Report maintenance and facility concerns to Operations Manager.
  • Perform light clerical duties as assigned.
  • Maintain quiet hours and provide visual contact of residents at curfew.
  • Complete incident report for significant encounters to Operations Manager.
  • Assist in transportation of clients to and from work, on an as needed basis.
  • Complete facility sanitation and safety checks as scheduled.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with women in crisis situations preferred
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • Willingness to complete background check
  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
  • F-Endorsement Driving License preferred (can obtain upon hire)
