JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Center for the Performing Arts seeks to fill wage payroll part-time positions on its Stage Crew. These positions are responsible for the immediate production needs of artists and presenters who use production management services. Scheduling is event-driven, and no regularly scheduled hours or shifts are available.
Requirements and job Duties:
  • The position requires frequent physical labor.
  • The ability to follow directions.
  • Successfully work as a member of a team.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with university policies.

For student workers, there is an opportunity to participate twice monthly in the CPA Student Advisory Council which builds arts network across the university and recommends artists for student curated events.
Applicants must have at least one weekday morning or afternoon free of other commitments and frequent evening and weekend availability. Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
