MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Full-time, 8-hour days, 7:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri; potential Sat with day off during week. On-call is not required. Six-month contract preferred (3 months with maximum of one renewal). Will be working with ADULT population only. Knowledge of GE E95 machine. Proficiency with non-imaging CW transducer (Pedof). Minimum 2 years preferred.
POSITION OVERVIEW: (MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Performs imaging and Doppler ultrasound examinations on the heart and surrounding anatomy by means of two-dimensional imaging and three-dimensional imaging. Provides Doppler and color flow Doppler and M-mode techniques as indicated for patient records, storing pertinent data on the echo lab server. Assists cardiologist by operating the echo machine during transesophageal (TEE) studies. Performs ultrasound examination component of stress echo. May work in any or all of three settings: hospital, clinic, outreach (mobile). The Cardiac Sonographer is available for 24-hour call with a 30-minute response time required. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in his/her assigned department as indicated: Age of population served: Pediatric, Adolescent, dult, Geriatric.
SKILLS

Minimum of one-year experience in adult and pediatric cardiac sonography including experience with transesophageal and stress echo, preferred. Must have knowledge of pathology, diagnostic procedures, and patient care procedures. Experience with mobile service operations helpful. Skills: Proven ability to work with co-workers, physicians, and all levels of health care professionals.

RCS or RDCS from ARDMS or CCI. BLS
EDUCATION:
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: (Education Requirements and Experience):
Associates degree or Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program or High school diploma with 5 years cardiac ultrasound experience and must be registry eligible.
Licensure/Certification Required:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or registry eligible for RCS or RDCS.). Current BLS Certification.
Experience with:
- PISA quantitation
- LV and RV strain
- 3D LV EF
- Imaging with contrast
Will be working with the DULT population only.
Knowledge of GE E95 machines. Proficiency with non-imaging CW transducer (Pedof)
