Summary of the Position:
Tishman Speyer is looking for a Coworking Regional General Manager to join the Studio team overseeing our 10 (and growing) locations outside of New York City. The position can be based in any city where we have a Studio location including New York, Boston, Chicago, DC, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.
The Regional General Manager will lead and manage the Studio Onsite teams with the goal of providing a high-quality service experience and fostering long-term relationships with our Studio members. S/he will work with key Senior Management stakeholders to influence and execute asset plans aligned with the overall investment strategy.
The successful candidate will bring a wealth of hospitality experience, a creative operational mindset and the ability to lead a matrixed team.
Your key responsibilities:
Team Management/ Leadership

  • Manage a team of 7-10 General Managers to provide best in class service and efficient operations in your assigned region
  • Lead recruitment efforts to manage internal moves and build candidate pipeline
  • Oversee performance management and training curriculum to ensure department standards are met and help your team grow and develop
  • Motivate team and hold them accountable for responsibilities and goals across all key areas of the business (sales, operations, finance, member experience, hospitality, and more)

Operations
  • Ensure operations is consistent with Studio Standards across portfolio
  • Foster key customer relations to enhance retention rate
  • Manage escalated member issues and concerns
  • Build relationship with ZO and Property Management Teams in each location and find ways to partner on programming and operations
  • Work closely with other Regional GM's and Studio HQ Team to implement Studio-wide initiatives to advance member experience and improve operations
  • Spearhead CapEx project management for all locations

Finance
  • Review accruals and monthly profit and loss statement analysis with GM's for each location
  • Oversee reporting to Studio HQ and budgeting and reforecasting process
  • Review accounts payable and determine plans for aged accounts
  • Consistently analyze spend to create initiatives to reduce portfolio operating expenses

New Location Openings
  • Work closely with the design and construction teams during initial planning phase to provide feedback on items such as floorplan layout and appliances
  • Manage recruitment and training of team to staff the location
  • Onboard TS regional and property management teams on Studio and Studio/PMO relationship
  • Provide on-site support prior to opening to ensure on time delivery of space
  • Work with GM to ensure completion of punchlist and day-2 work after opening

About you:
Qualifications:
  • College graduate with four-year degree
  • 7-10 years of experience in coworking, hospitality, or retail operations
  • Sales and business operations experience required
  • Multi-Unit management and opening experience is preferred
  • Due to the nature of the role this position requires onsite presence

The base compensation range for this role in the state of California and New York is $120,000-$135,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees.
This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer's California and New York teams, as we've considered factors specific to this geography.
