Cow Calf Herd Manager

```Job Summary:```
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Herd Manager to oversee the care and management of our animal herd. The Herd Manager will be responsible for ensuring the health, well-being, and productivity of the animals under their care. This position requires a strong background in animal husbandry and a passion for working with animals.

```Duties:```
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the animal herd
- Monitor and maintain the health and welfare of the animals
- Develop and implement feeding programs to ensure proper nutrition
- Coordinate breeding programs and manage reproductive cycles
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed
- Maintain accurate records of herd health, breeding, and production
- Oversee pasture management, including rotational grazing and irrigation
- Perform basic veterinary care, such as wound care and parasite control
- Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors and machinery
- Assist with general farm duties as needed

```Qualifications:```
- Previous experience in animal husbandry or related field
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices and procedures

- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repairs
- Basic math skills for record keeping and inventory management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
