Job Description
The job's main function is to support the day-to-day operations of the Court Records department and its’ management. An emphasis will be placed on performing daily/recurring assignments.
The Court Record Assistant’s primary job duties are as follows:
- Perform the department’s daily email subscription services
- Process search requests of DE court & county records
- Process document retrieval requests of DE court & county records
- Manage daily incoming & outgoing communications with clients via email & phone
- Support other departments within DLS as needed
- Support duties of Legal Research Manager when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, college education a plus
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office and typing ability of minimum 40WPM
- Able to walk at a brisk pace for extended periods of time
- Strong work ethic and perform duties as expected with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with DE court system and/or experience working in the legal industry a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and adapt to changing priorities
