Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30A-4P
In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Courier is responsible for transporting lab specimens, various supplies and materials from the hospital to and from physicians' offices, nursing homes and other locations. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent training and/or experience required
- Must have a valid driver's license and remain insurable by hospital's agent
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write and do math as generally demonstrated by a high school diploma or GED
1. Operates a legally licensed motor vehicle.
2. Picks up patient specimens at physicians' offices, nursing homes or other clients and delivers to the lab.
3. Delivers to physicians' offices, nursing homes or other clients reports on test results.
4. Delivers to physicians' offices, nursing homes or other clients needed supplies from the lab.
5. Picks up, transports and delivers various materials to and from the hospital and its clients.
6. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
