Flooring & Accessories, Inc. is seeking a Measure Technician that possesses great attention to detail and quality, is reliable, and has a positive attitude!
The countertop measure technician will be responsible for using our state-of-the-art Laser Template Equipment to provide detailed and accurate countertop dimensions to our fabrication department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Look ahead at our schedule and prepare for all upcoming projects. This includes understanding material selections and layout.
- Arriving at scheduled appointments at customer locations within the agreed-upon and scheduled window of time.
- Measure using laser equipment for and assemble templates that would serve as exact dimensions for the stone/granite/marble applications, in conjunction with the job specifications.
- Complete work orders by making notations for all required measurements, polished edges, cutouts, radius corners, and any other necessary specifications desired by the customer for the job.
- Confirm any missing information (such as missing faucets specs, missing cooktop specs, etc.) regarding the job with an onsite customer or job super.
- Provide critical information to the customer concerning the templating and installation process.
- Communicate with clients to confirm arrival times, job site issues, and project procedures/protocols.
- Leaving your home, you will follow your daily schedule and drive to our customer’s home or job site location with a provided company vehicle.
- You will upload the data and communicate job details to the fabrication shop.
- Communicate any relevant information about the job to the salesperson, operations staff or production staff on a timely basis.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and photos to hand off to office staff within 24 hours from the time of templating.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously.
- Ability to work as part of a team and also be able to work autonomously when necessary.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lift, squat and stand for long periods.
- Excellent attention to detail is a must!
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed.
- Experience using a laser template system and or using CAD software for creating countertop drawings is preferred but not required.
- A strong understanding of construction with a food mathematical aptitude.
- Previous experience installing granite and quartz on Solid surfaces is a plus, but not required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
