Lenderworks’ mortgage services platform encompasses the areas of Capital Markets, Compliance and Risk Management, Finance and Accounting, Post-production, Information Technology, Information Security, Solutions Development and Mortgage Technology.
Job Responsibilities: As an Counterparty Specialist in a fast-paced mortgage environment, you will take an active role as a liaison between the multiple departments within Lenderworks, our clients, and the clients’ counterparties. Some of the duties include:
- Manage applications and maintain relationships with various investors, state housing agencies, federal agencies, financial institutions, and other entities
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual recertifications and renewals
- Maintain information for supported clients, including third party approvals, proof of insurance, financial statements, and organizational documentation
- Act as a liaison between counterparties and supported clients by providing them with updated information as requested
- Respond to requests for information for internal and external audits, renewals, and other requests, as needed
- Apply multitasking abilities while prioritizing tasks by importance and deadline. Adjusts priorities as situations change.
- Bachelor's degree, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Due to the sensitive nature of information handled, must possess a high degree of confidentiality and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve department and company goals in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize, coordinate, and multi-task
- Capability to adapt to sudden changes in priorities, flexibility in daily work plan
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to correspond concisely through email is required.
- Ability to build and maintain solid relationships/partnerships with clients and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Mortgage or banking experience, a plus.
