Counter Sales Associate

A Counter Sales Associate responsibility includes taking orders, answering questions relating to the order, receiving payment and executing the order. You should provide quick and efficient service, ensure maximum customer satisfaction, and resolve all queries professionally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Attends to customers for equipment rentals and sales of tools, supplies, parts and hardware

· Assists customers with recommended equipment and associated items to handle projects

· Confirming with customers on planned rental durations

· Exceptional customer service, always acknowledging the customer even while dealing with another task at hand

· Works effectively with all levels of the company- parts, service, sales and purchasing

· Positive and respectful attitude towards fellow employees and customers

· Radio acknowledgement and professional communication between departments

· Answers phones professionally and within company allotted time

· Processing payments, handling cash, credit card and or check transactions

· Ensures stock levels are filled and organized in bin locations

· Ensures no inventory or equipment leaves on an open reservation or without a proper ticket unless approved by management

· Accurate on equipment exchanges and properly completing exchange forms

· Properly records missed rentals and rental durations

· Maintains accuracy of rental returns and discrepancies

· Properly fills out and rectifies rental return book throughout scheduled shift

· Ensures incidentals i.e.; keys, hitches, fuels, etc. are being added to the tickets, charged correctly, and being returned

· Filling work orders out correctly and efficiently

· Follows instructions and understands tasks given by the Counter Sales manager or assistant Counter Sales manager

· Completes assigned tasks within deadline and meets goals

· Follows established policies and procedures and works in a safe manner

· Adheres to end of day closing list

· Ensures work area is kept clean i.e.; counter area, showroom and counter tools and supplies are put away in the proper location

· Hours are Monday – Friday with alternating Saturdays and the ability to work overtime as needed

· Must be well groomed and pleasant to talk to

· Ability to multi-task
