Job description

Job Title: Counter Manager
Location: Denver
Pay Range: $32 - $42/hour
Hours: 8am-5pm
This position will remain open until 3/18/2024, or until the position is filled, whichever is later.
Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing all KWIK Call and Counter Sales functions ensuring accuracy and the highest level of customer service while actively seeking to improve processes, increase efficiency, and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Primary:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage staff by communicating job expectations, delegating responsibilities, increasing knowledge, and building cohesive interdepartmental teamwork while increasing motivation to accomplish operational goals
  • Train and support staff to deliver the best customer service to our customers.
  • Actively educate, train, monitor, and adjust processes recommending measures for improvement to increase overall efficiency and productivity
  • Operate in accordance with Rampart’s established systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by complying with Rampart’s safety program
  • Promptly and professionally oversee and process counter orders by:
    • Providing product knowledge and technical advice on the appropriate application of products and solutions
    • Writing orders then prepare order for customer by picking and shipping product
    • Collect payment by either charging the customer’s account or directing customer to cashier
  • Coordinating product delivery if requested by customer
  • Continue to improve our customer service, help train the sales team to go beyond the customers’ expectations and help make it a first class experience while shopping at our counters
  • Operate in accordance with Rampart’s established systems, policies and procedures
    • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by complying with Rampart's safety program.
As Required:
  • Troubleshoot issues and communicate discrepancies to inventory control
  • Work with Returns team to courteously handle customer returns in a timely manner
  • Maintain currency on product and technical knowledge as well as current construction trends
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manager
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Supervise and coordinate the needs of KWIK Call and Counter Sale associates to include scheduling, attendance, performance concerns, employee development, and training including one-on-ones with the sales team on a quarterly basis
  • Maintain harmony and resolve issues among associates to ensure team cohesiveness
Education, Skills, Training, & Experience Requirements:
  • Product knowledge
  • Customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Continuously (67-100% of the day) will be required to talk, repetitively use hands, arms, and legs, stand, walk, grasp, and lift 10lbs or less
  • Frequently (34-66% of the day) will be required to bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push or pull, carry or move 10lbs or less, and carry, move, or lift 11-75lbs
  • Occasionally (1-33% of the day) will be required to sit, crawl, balance, climb and carry, move, or lift 76-100+ lbs
