It would be great fit for someone who has retired or someone looking for a little extra income, as this is an entry-level position. The hours are Monday-Friday 9:15 am - 3:00 pm.
The Counter Attendant performs a combination of duties to assist with food distribution and customer service. These duties are performed in a snack bar located inside the facility. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assists in cleaning (wiping counter, sweeping floors and mopping, cleaning dining tables, napkin dispensers, walls, appliances, and emptying trash).
- Assists snack bar staff in maintaining organization of kitchen, coolers and storage areas.
- Assist in loading/unloading and picking up/delivering supplies and food/transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Stocks dining room supplies, cleans kitchen and refills condiments.
- Ensures food is stored in a sanitary and timely manner and it meets requirements for quality and quantity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Age 18 or older
- Punctual and dependable.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn basic tasks.
- Ability to work in a small space as a team and follow sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to be pleasant and polite when interacting with customers and suppliers. Provides exemplary customer service at all times.
Occupational Demands:
- Employee must be able to perform physical requirement of job requiring frequent bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 10 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods of time – 5 hours per day.
- Work conditions are located in snack bar setting with high noise level and constantly changing demands. Employee works closely with staff and interacts with snack bar customers.
