Crisis receiving and stabilization services offer the community a no-wrong-door access to mental health and substance use care. Our CRC will have 3 recliners where people in mental health crisis can stay for observation for up to 23 hours. The vision of the CRC is to change the way the community sees, treats, and supports those in a mental health crisis.
Position: Counselor I
Shift: Four 10-hour shifts
Salary Range: $26.01/hour - $33.63/hour. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements)

Position Requirements requires a QMHA: a bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university or three years of full-time professional experience working in the mental health related field. Summary: The Counselor I function collaboratively as part of a 23-Hour Crisis Receiving Center (CRC). The CRC team in comprised of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. This team addresses urgent behavioral health needs including but not limited to significant emotional dysregulation, disordered thought processes, substance use intoxication resulting in behavioral crisis and environmentally de-stabilizing events that require multi-disciplinary crisis intervention. As a Counselor I in the CRC, you will be responsible for utilizing triage skills, providing ongoing assessment, crisis intervention and clinical determination for level of care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The Counselor I will provide compassionate, person-centered, trauma-informed care to individuals with the goal of stabilization at the least restrictive level of care and an emphasis on post crisis growth. An ideal candidate to fill this Counselor I position will work with community partners, stakeholders, and the multidisciplinary team within the Crisis Receiving Center to coordinate client care and safety. The successful candidate will have experience in working with individuals with psychiatric diagnoses or symptoms, as well as knowledge in assessing and triaging, medication administration and crisis management skills.
