JOB DUTIES
  • Responsible with coordinating the academic & cultural enrichment services needed to be provided to GEAR UP students.
  • Making the academic assessment to GEAR UP students.
  • Assist in completing state academic reports.
  • Assisting with the planning, recruiting, implementation, and evaluation of the educational and community service projects with students participating in the GEAR UP program
  • Assist with coordinating academic/community service programs and leadership activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use demonstrations, audiovisual aids, and other materials to supplement lessons.
  • Provide academic and career counseling to promote a more enriching academic experience.
  • Prepare individual, personal, and academic objectives for assigned participants and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements
  • Develop curriculum and manage classroom activities
  • Complete State academic reporting
  • Assist students with computer-assisted instructions
  • Assist in coordinating Pre and Post- testing for students
  • Assist in the development & participation in community service activities to help meet program mandated hours
  • Advise student leadership activities, academic advisement and counseling
  • Responsible for recruiting middle and high school students from target areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • One to Two (1-2) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
