Position Summary
The Costume Shop Assistant assists the Costume Shop Supervisor with current and future theatre production and all duties of the Costume Shop.

Essential Functions
- The Costume Shop Assistant assists in constructing, altering and maintaining costumes for the current production season which may also include light laundry duties.
- Work as part of a team to assist in basic workspace maintenance which may include restocking, organizing and sweeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability and willingness to work with an industrial iron;
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA
Required Education
Current UIW student.
Required Work Experience
No previous experience is necessary, training is available.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous sewing skills.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
None.
Work Hours
The work schedule is flexible but incumbent must be work specific weekends determined by the shop supervisor leading up to production openings.
Physical Demands
Due to the work environment of the postition, close toe shoes are preferred.
