Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for the department, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Serve as a Center RMTS contact, maintaining communication and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Act as a preparer for MAC Financial documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of various cost reports, including CAM cost reports, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate on special projects, providing financial analysis, insights, and support as required.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial schedules, supporting accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist with the annual financial audit process, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Perform all work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations, and laws.
- Work independently on assigned tasks, seeking guidance and review when needed, and ensuring the soundness of conclusions and recommendations.
- Report to the Cost Accounting Manager, working under general supervision and collaborating effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Experience working on either Medicaid or Medicare cost reports preferred
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Working knowledge of government and cost accounting
- Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations related to government accounting
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting theory
- Ability to prepare analytical reports
- Ability to prepare complex Excel worksheets
- Excellent organizational skills
