We are seeking an both part time and full time energetic Instructors to join our team! As an instructor in the 600-hour Nail Technology program, you are responsible for the delivery of high quality content provided for your use and prepared in accordance with the standards and requirments set forth by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. A strong background in Nail Technology, excellent instructional skills, and a passion for helping students succeed is beneficial. The successful candidate continuously updates personal knowledge and skills through professional development activities in both teaching methodologies and course content.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery
- Deliver prepared clinical & classroom instruction on the science of Nail Technology including:
- Infection control, cause, transmission, control, OSHA, EPA, Blood spill
- Safety: ergonomics, source capture, PPE, overexposure.
- Infection control, cause, transmission, control, OSHA, EPA, Blood spill
- Diseases and Disorders of the nails and skin.
- Anotomy of the muscles & bones of hands, feet, legs, & arms.
- Form, function, structure of the nails and the skin.
- Chemistry of nail products including:
- Formulation
- Interaction
- Safety & hazards
- Proper and safe use of machines, tools, and equipment including:
- Electric File
- Foot Spas
- UV/LED Lamps
- Nippers
- Pre & Post Service Procedures
- Clinical treatment analysis, consultation, & documentation
- Procedures:
- Manicuring & Pedicuring
- Spa modalities & massage
- Manicuring & Pedicuring
- Artificial Enhancements: Application, Maintenance, Removal
- Acrylic
- Gel
- Tips, Dip, Alternative Nail Technology
- Present relevent State of Arizona statutes and rules
- Business:
- Deliver School provided clinical and classroom instruction on the business of Nail Technology including:
- Planning, Clientele, Menus, Job Search, Accounting, Pricing, Menus, Insurance, Communication, Life Skills, Budgeting, Retirement
- Deliver School provided clinical and classroom instruction on the business of Nail Technology including:
- Life Skills
- Interpersonal skills and professional ethics.
- Deliver school provided clinical and classroom instruction on the art of Nail Technology including:
- Stamping, Foil, Ombre, Rhinestones, 3D, Encapsulation, Stencils, Decals, Paints & Gel
- Virtual/Alternative Learning:
- Facilitate virtual learning opportunities for students as permitted by the school license and in accordance with state regulations to fullfill the curriculum hours specified in the program.
- Deliver prepared clinical & classroom instruction on the science of Nail Technology including:
- Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
- Report and document behavioral incidents.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Instructor license in Nail Technology or Cosmetology .
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and ethical conduct.
- Develop/possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Embrace a willingness and flexibility to adopt, and adapt to changing educational needs and requirements.
- Develop/possess strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver information and engage students.
- Previous experience teaching Nail Technology or Cosmetology is preferred but not required.
- Possess an understanding of, and utilize current instructional strategies, classroom systems, teaching aids, and resources including multimedia to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Knowlegeable of current methods used to ensure ongoing assessment and evaluation of student progress, pprovide constructive reports to staff, and feedback and suggestions to students for remediation of deficiencies, supporting their overall growth and development.
