Cosmetic Medical Assistant

VitalSkin Dermatology - Bucktown @ 1765 N. Elston Avenue (60642). Compensation range is $18-$20 an hour depending on experience.

As a full-time, on-site Cosmetic Medical Assistant, you are a part of a collaborative team scribing and supporting our cosmetic dermatology providers to create a seamless and positive experience for patients undergoing cosmetic injectables and laser treatments. You demonstrate proficiency in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere while providing comprehensive care and adhering to the practice’s standards and procedures. You have a passion for working in the healthcare environment and must be able to work Saturdays, early mornings and late evenings. We are willing to train!

You actively participate in and assist with cosmetic procedures, including cosmetic injectables and laser treatments. You ensure the proper preparation and support for cosmetic treatments and are an integral part of helping to communicate with and educate patients. You demonstrate excellent social skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient demographics, including a focus on serving cash-pay high-end patients. You demonstrate skills handling financial transactions and interacting with patients in a manner consistent with a high-end dermatology practice.

You demonstrate a high capacity for taking consistent real-time feedback and constructive criticism, fostering a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth. You proactively seek opportunities for learning and development, adapting quickly to evolving responsibilities and refining skills based on feedback from dermatology providers and colleagues. You are a team player, proactive, able to multi-task, organized, a go-getter, fast learner, empathetic, take initiative, detailed oriented, positive, personable, and professional in all your interactions. Along with basic typing, computer, English, and mathematical skills, you have an appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations; ensure compliance with all HIPPPA regulations; and, able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, co-workers, and vendors. Preferred but not required: EMR experience (Nextech or ModMed (Ema), CPR / BLS & Bloodborne Pathogen certification, and previous scribing and clinical experience.
