Job description

Integrity Solutions Field Services, Inc, with an office located in Alma, MI, is seeking a Corrosion Survey Technician/Inspector. NACE CP1 required. CP2 certifications, CIP I and API 1169 certifications highly sought.

This position's location varies from PA to NY, with Monday-Friday, away from home travel in that general area. DUTIES Shall Include:

  • Ability to use all tools and equipment required for the job including, but not limited to: multi-meters, reference electrodes, current interrupters, pipe and cable locators and data loggers, etc., and have the ability to train others to do so as well;
  • Strong understanding of electricity, electrical laws, corrosion, electrochemistry, and cathodic protection theories;
  • Strong understanding of CP components including: impressed current systems, galvanic anodes, and test stations;
  • Understand and comply with federal codes, industry regulations, reporting procedures, and NACE standards;
  • Working knowledge of all faucets of corrosion control with in-depth understanding of corrosion mechanisms and mitigation techniques;
  • Ability to take and pass continued education courses and NACE credential courses;
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, and timelines through problem solving capabilities;
  • Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands;
  • Experience working individually and in a team.

Additional Requirements:

  • NACE Cathodic Protection Level 1, CIP and API 1169 Certifications required, NACE CP2 preferred.
  • 100% passing of all company and client drug testing is MANDATORY. This position requires pre-hire, client site specific, and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing. Failure may result in immediate removal from projects and potential termination of employment.
  • Desire and Ability to travel 80% or more. The work is performed when the operator requests and wherever the project is located for duration to be determined by the contract.
  • Experience in corrosion control, protective coatings and cathodic protection monitoring
  • Strong understanding of CP components including: impressed current systems, galvanic anodes, and test stations
  • Strong understanding of corrosion codes including but not limited to, CFR parts 192 and 195, ASME and NACE.
  • Working knowledge of all faucets of corrosion control with in-depth understanding of corrosion mechanisms and mitigation techniques
  • Ability to work in a safety oriented outdoor environment in all types of terrain, is required.
  • Must be able to work 10-12 hr days, 4-5 days per week in all types of climates and walk 3-7 miles per day in all types of terrain in steel toed boots.
