Job description

Overview

Large scale food preparation and service for the Department of Corrections within correctional facilities. Supervision is exercised over inmates with access to potentially dangerous items. Duties include planning meals, purchasing food and facility supply items, tracking and managing inventory, and exercising security controls. Duties are performed under the direction of a Facility Food Service Supervisor, but with need for significant interaction with other division or department staff, and outside service providers. All employees of the Agency of Human Services perform their respective functions adhering to four key practices: customer service, holistic service, strength-based relationships, and results orientation.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2) years or more full-time work experience.

Minimum Physical Requirements:
Adequate physical condition to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. 

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of kitchen operations.
Experience in the supervision of kitchen operations. 
Experience in security practices or in a correctional setting.
Two (2) years or more of college level course work.
