Correctional Officers are responsible for the supervision, care, custody, control and physical restraint when necessary, of inmates in a Correctional Incentivized Facility.
No prior experience is necessary, all training is provided.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise inmates
- Observe traffic in and around the compound
- Monitor, supervise and screen inmate visitor traffic
- Make periodic patrols of quarters and work areas
- Maintain proper security of inmates being transported
- Maintain knowledge of communication and other electronic equipment
- Maintain and demonstrate proficiency in the use and care of firearms, restraint methods and equipment, and emergency measures
- Maintain a record of equipment supplies, and other items
- Check inmate mail for possible contraband
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- No Experience is Necessary.
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess a Valid Driver’s License.
- Must have a Social Security Card
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Pass a Drug Test and Physical Exam.
- Must not have Dishonorable Discharge from the Military.
- Pass a Background Investigation & Fingerprinting, which includes; no Felony convictions; no Misdemeanor involving Perjury or False Statement; no Misdemeanor conviction of Domestic Violence.
- Must demonstrate Good Moral Character as determined by a thorough Background Investigation.
