Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Safety Administrative Assistant to join our corporate team.
Primary hours are Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm schedule in a professional office setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Respond to inquiries from both inside and outside of Pavion about the Health & Safety program regarding Safety policy and incident reports directing any technical questions to a Safety Officer
Answer and respond to calls from the Safety Hotline during normal business hours referring emergencies and technical questions to a Safety Officer
Answer and respond to inquiries received via the department’s email account referring emergencies and technical questions to a Safety Officer
Maintain the Safety Management program by updating employee incident and training records, checking inspection reports, and assisting employees having trouble using the program
Maintain the Emergency Alert system by monitoring emergencies, assisting employees having trouble using the program and keeping the Safety team updated on evolving critical incidents worldwide
Support the Safety instructors by maintaining the registration program, inviting students to training using Outlook/MS Teams, updating training records, and mailing out training documents
Schedule OSHA and DOT medical exams with the company’s network of providers
Support Safety officers with other administrative duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School degree or GED.
- 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative role.
- Ability to successfully complete OSHA 30 safety certification within first year of employment.
- Experience with Microsoft office products and similar programs.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates’ degree
- Working knowledge of occupational safety
