Job Title: Corporate Payroll Manager
Location: Corporate Satellite Office – Meridian, Idaho
Starting Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary
Work Environment: In-Person, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm

Job Summary:
The Corporate Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing all of the payroll department functions and providing high-level support for all U.S. employees. This position is essential for setting and helping support and develop team members to achieve the department goals. This position serves as second tier support for payroll issues and decision-making. The Payroll Manager will collaborate with other department, users, and leadership to ensure the department is providing requested data, information, and reports in a timely and accurately manner to support project completion.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior-most payroll department expert for policy, process, and resolution related matters.
Establish the payroll department processes and policies ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and local rules, regulations, and laws. Responsible for ensuring
Ensure responses are accurate and timely for inquiries from both internal and external entities from the payroll department team members.
Regularly audit and review the spreadsheets that pertain to employee information (taxes, unemployment, premiums, etc.).
Assist with financial audits for payroll related items and serve as the liaison for the department with information and report compilation.
Lead a team of payroll management professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Benefits, to align strategies and achieve organizational goals.
Remain up to date and aware with existing and developing laws and regulations aimed at protecting employees in the workplace.
Collaborate with end users to analyze issues, solve problems, and communicate necessary/required changes.
Organize and identify ways to improve productivity and efficiency within the department.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
At least 10 years of payroll processing experience. Experience needs to include HRIS experience. (UKG and/or ADP experience preferred)
At least 2 years of payroll specific management/supervisory experience.
High level of understanding of payroll policies and procedures to include terminology.
Understanding of applicable state and federal laws regarding payroll and pay practices.

Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of process improvement competencies and skills.
Ability to complete work with an understanding for larger objectives in mind.
* Knowledge of practice, methods, and techniques for process improvements. 
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. 
Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. 
Travel: This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
