The Corporate Partnerships Manager supports all aspects of the High Line’s corporate fundraising efforts. The manager maintains a portfolio of prospects, oversees the planning and execution of corporate employee engagement activities on the High Line, and works closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships and the Senior Director of Institutional Giving on pipeline management, recognition, benefits fulfillment, prospect research, and administrative projects.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Corporate Partnerships Manager is a critical member of the Institutional Giving team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage and secure gifts from a subset of the High Line’s corporate pipeline, including program supporters and corporate members. Ensure the fulfillment of recognition requirements and other partnership benefits.
  • Prepare, edit, and submit partnership outlines, proposals, presentations, and reports. Collaborate with programming, horticulture, and communications staff to gather relevant content. Maintain a calendar of, and adhere to, time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the communications department to fulfill recognition requirements and unique promotional opportunities across the High Line’s communications channels, including on-site signage, print and digital materials, and social media.
  • Serve as the internal and external liaison for recognition routings and approvals and assist the Director with the fulfillment of other partnership benefits. Develop and maintain a tracking system for recognition and benefits.
  • Manage content updates in external-facing corporate fundraising materials, including the corporate support webpage, Corporate Partnerships brochure, employee engagement brochure, and corporate membership brochure.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, including but not limited to, leading tours and volunteer opportunities on the High Line for corporate donors. Serve as the primary point of contact with internal and external constituents. Evaluate and respond to employee engagement inquiries.
  • Evaluate and respond to partnership inquiries. Schedule and participate in calls and manage follow-up communications, with guidance from the Director of Corporate Partnerships as needed.
  • Identify and qualify new corporate prospects for the High Line, with an emphasis on prospects with the capacity and inclination to make multi-year commitments.
  • Update and maintain the corporate pipeline in Raiser’s Edge, including proposals, correspondence, actions, research, attributes, relationships, contacts, and recognition.
  • Assist the Director and Senior Director with identifying the next steps for donor cultivation. Manage follow up and prompt the Director and Senior Director to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare briefing memos for prospect meetings. Record meeting recap notes and follow-up actions in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Prepare invoices, gift-routing paperwork, and acknowledgment letters for corporate contributions and pledges.
  • Liaise with the database administrator to produce queries, exports, and lists from Raiser’s Edge.
  • Assist with other administrative duties and high-priority department initiatives as needed, including large-scale mailings, database maintenance, gift processing, and staffing for fundraising events, donor cultivation and stewardship activities, and venue rentals and activations.

Requirements

Desired experience of a successful candidate may include the following, but candidates will not be screened exclusively based on meeting these qualifications:

Ideal Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant fundraising experience
  • Superb attention to detail and time management and organizational skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; must be comfortable interacting with High Line staff, corporate contacts, and other donors via email and phone, and in-person
  • Strong listening skills, including the ability to take direction, initiative, and produce thorough and accurate work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally and thoughtfully assist others
  • High level of computer literacy, including experience with Google platforms and Microsoft Office, especially with Microsoft PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar database
  • Experience working at New York City public parks and/or cultural institutions
  • Press, marketing, and/or professional social media experience

Abilities

  • Comfort working in, and ability to move about, outdoor spaces on the High Line
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends as needed
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods

This is a Full-Time, Exempt position.

Actual salaries will vary on various factors, including but not limited to experience and performance. The annual salary range is $65,000 - $75,000.

The location for the role remains hybrid, with a requirement to physically report to the office (located in Manhattan's Meatpacking District in New York City).
