We are seeking an enthusiastic entry-level event professional to support all aspects of Corporate Event Marketing. This role will be responsible for coordinating events with multiple internal stakeholders while being responsible for co-managing budgets, timelines, and on-site execution. This role will have the ultimate goal of helping create engagements for contacts at net new accounts, influencing new business pipeline and revenue, increasing footprint within existing customer accounts and positioning GuidePoint Security as the market leading provider of cybersecurity services and solutions. This position is based remotely and will report to the Corporate Event Marketing Manager. As a candidate, you will have a strong interest in Event Marketing and production, as well as a desire for frequent travel.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Plan, execute and support the production of event programs for GuidePoint Security, including trade shows, happy hours, dinners, vendor sponsorships and other ancillary events
- Collaborate with marketing and event partners including agencies, catering, security, registration, facilities, shipping, and other logistics partners
- Own event communications, documentation, support ticketing, and calendar updates
- Co-own Corporate Marketing assets such as newsletters and all-hands slides
- Meet project timelines and events budgets
- Serve as the on-site lead for various GPS events
- Provide on-site support for larger events
- Work to ensure GuidePoint Security messaging is integrated into all event experiences
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, event management, communications, business, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A self-starter with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
- Customer service mindset
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
