Corporate Controller

CORPORATE CONTROLLER, Bergen County, NJ    $180K - $200K+ DOE + Bonus +

HYBRID SCHEDULE- WORK ONE DAY FROM HOME

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all Corporate Accounting functions
• Manage and lead six (6) direct reports
• Assess current financial operations and present recommendations for improvement and manage implementation of new processes
• Maintain accurate accounting and reporting of fixed Assets, cost, depreciation and disposals
• Evaluate operations and activities of Accounting department, recommending improvements where indicated and submit reporting of same to Executive Management
• Prepare and submit budget and cost estimates for budget recommendations, including justification for equipment, materials, supplies and hardware expenditures
• Manage bank and control account monthly reconciliations; ensuring completion and accuracy
• Prepare Monthly Management Accounts including trading results for all product costs and comparisons of forecasted with actual cost budgets
• Liaise with external auditors providing assistance with tax, sales & use filings and audits
• Implement and maintain all corporate accounting policies in compliance with GAAP standards
• Perform Executive duties to support Corporate Operations

Requirements:

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• Min 8-10 years General Accounting experience
• Min 3 years of Controller exp required
• Must be a Self-motivated and accountable professional
• Outstanding financial management and leadership skills with “hands on, open door” policy
• Adept within an International Corporate environment   
• Very strong general accounting skills and extensive knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven track record of progressive creation and implementation of process improvements
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office Suite proficiency required
• Proficiency in ERP Accounting software programs required; NetSuite proficiency a plus
