In our continued mission to deliver the best value, experience and opportunity for our communities, stakeholders, and partners, we are seeking a Corporate Communications Manager who will help lead the implementation of Tanger’s communications strategy. This position will report directly to the AVP, Corporate Communications with flexibility to work in a remote work environment offered by Tanger’s hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.

About the Role:

As the Corporate Communications Manager, you will work closely with the AVP, Corporate Communications to implement Tanger’s communications strategy and share the Tanger story. You will execute national PR strategy, utilizing strong project and time management skills. Responsibilities will include drafting, planning, creative requests, and distribution of corporate and executive communications, engaging with key stakeholder audiences to ensure our corporate narrative is shared consistently and with excellence.

How you will contribute to what we do:

• Work to design and execute the corporate narrative, helping to ensure consistent messaging and positioning with internal and external audiences across all platforms.
• Collaborate with AVP, Corporate Communications to execute national PR strategy, including project management and tracking deadlines, drafting, fact checking and analysis, and liaising with national PR agency.
• Manage execution and planning for Tanger’s corporate and executive social media channels, including drafting, planning, creative requests, and posting, as well as regular reporting on engagement.
• Support the execution of all internal enterprise communications and events, including providing drafting, planning, creative requests, and distribution for executive communications and the company intranet, to help drive team engagement and meaningful connection to the company’s values and strategic objectives.
• Partner with AVP, Corporate Communications to support the corporate communication needs of key internal stakeholder groups to key external stakeholder audiences, helping to ensure we share our corporate narrative consistently and with excellence. Assist in addressing the communication requirements of vital internal stakeholder groups for key external audiences, ensuring the consistent and excellent deliver of our corporate narrative.
• Lead calendar management and reporting to ensure alignment across all key stakeholder groups and corporate strategic initiatives, keeping key deliverables on track to meet deadlines.
• Assist with key functions of the Corporate Communications team, such as project management, scheduling, notetaking, and expenses.

About You:

• A bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent education plus experience) is required.
• Five (5) plus years of experience in Corporate Communications, public relations, internal or executive communications, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience working with PR agencies, social media platforms, publicly traded companies, compliance, and SEC reporting is preferred.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, crafting and editing high-quality communications with the appropriate audience in mind.
• You are solutions-oriented, with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• You have experience deploying communications plans and managing multiple communications platforms and channels.
• You demonstrate organization and focus in establishing systems and identifying efficiencies where possible, with the ability to comprehend and align with strategic directions.
• Your strong interpersonal skills give you the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• You possess a professional presence and an understanding of a structured corporate environment with internal and external stakeholders, including working within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
• You are a creative self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Hiring Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Tanger's total compensation package for employees.

Pay Range: $88,000 - $123,000 per year
