EAG is searching for an energetic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join a team of individuals designing and implementing automation solutions for our outsourcing team. A candidate for this role should have experience with business processes in one or more of the following functional areas:
- Upstream Accounting
- Midstream Accounting
- Land Management
- Volumetric/Production Accounting
As an EAG team member, you can expect to:
- Collaborate with EAG team members and executives to identify and document desired functionality, business requirements, supporting processes and/or system procedures.
- Participate in project management activities including weekly status updates.
- Design automation solutions utilizing EAG's approved systems and tools.
- Document process flows.
- Define test use cases and test scripts.
- Participate in System Test and support User Acceptance Test.
- Develop training materials and lead training sessions with end users.
- Participate in cutover activities.
- Provide post-implementation support.
- Transition support to internal application support team.
- Facilitate project activities such as client meetings, process/design workshops, user acceptance test sessions, and weekly status updates.
- Provide assistance to other EAG teams as needed, fostering a spirit of teamwork across individual project initiatives.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on automation projects.
- Knowledge of business process modeling techniques and tools such as Visio or Lucid Chart.
- Familiarity with automation technologies, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or workflow automation platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, Vision, Lucid Chart, Power Automate, Power Apps, SSIS, etc.
- 2+ years of consulting experience preferred.
- 2+ years of experience participating in the development or implementation of software systems preferred.
- 2+ years of upstream energy industry experience, including working knowledge of one or more of the following areas within upstream is preferred but not required:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- AFE
- Division Order
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Joint Interest Billing
- Land Administration
- Production Accounting & Regulatory Reporting
- Revenue Accounting & Regulatory Reporting
- Treasury/Cash Management
- Knowledge of project management methodology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop Tools and Teams.
