Corporate Attorney
The Corporate Attorney will provide legal counsel and advice to AutoZone and its subsidiaries to ensure its effective operation in accordance with federal, state and local laws; advise business partners on all aspects of commercial business transactions, including structure, key commercial terms and legal terms; answer questions and provide counsel on compliance needs; review and analyze evolving laws and regulations affecting AutoZone's business; provide training to business partners on key areas of compliance.
Responsibilities

• Responsible for structuring, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of complex agreements for various business units.
• Candidate should be familiar with one or more of the following: contract negotiation, marketing/advertising principles and regulations, state privacy laws, and HIPAA.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment that requires strong business judgment and firm understanding of business units being supported.
• Interface with vendors and their counsel.
• Consult with internal clients to understand business needs.

Skills and Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree
• At least 3 years of legal experience at a law firm or in-house.
• Experience in general contracting and negotiating a plus.
• Must be comfortable using the full Microsoft Office Suite.
• Communicate effectively with in house counsel, procurement, and other business stakeholders.
• Must be able to quickly process and analyze information and be able to use it to make decisions and solve problems
• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing to both internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Must be comfortable using the full Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in general contracting and negotiating a plus.
