This position is responsible for providing detailed accounting calculations, month end reconciliations, audit activities, cash accounting, and asset management. Incumbent will assist the Finance Department managers with fixed asset management, tax information and financial reporting for OSV. Monitors actual results of financial data against forecasts and budgets for fixed assets, as well as highlights trends. Incumbent provides or assists in the consolidation of a wide range of operating and financial projections.
Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):
- Preform daily / monthly cash reconciliations and cash clearing accounts
- Preform monthly fixed asset and depreciation reconciliations
- Complete tax worksheets for Profit and Non-Profit entities
- Complete quarterly tax estimates based on tax worksheets
- Administrate sales tax nexus, returns, and reporting
- Performs monthly financial reporting and fixed asset spending / forecast reviews
- Answer sales and income tax questions from sales, customer service and other departments
- Assisting in annual budgeting process as needed
- Assist with audit activities
- Fixed asset management
- Month end accounting for periodical advertising
- Documentation of policies and procedures for critical job functions
- Implements accounting processes and controls
- Assist others in department as needed
Requirements:
Experience:
- Two years of accounting experience is required (internships, co-op experiences, or working in an accounting environment may qualify)
- Cost Accounting is preferred
- Lean accounting or process improvement experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, related field, or commensurate work experience required
- Knowledge of general accounting practices
- Analytical skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills including demonstrated success with oral and written communication
- Dependability, organization, problem solving and adaptability skills
- Deadline and goal oriented
- Demonstrated the ability to prioritize while working in a fast pace environment
- Proficient computer experience including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook
- Must be a team player

- Incumbent will be working in an office environment and may be on a hybrid schedule after required new hire training
