Job Title: Copier Technician

Job Overview: As a Copier Technician, your primary responsibility is to install, maintain, and repair multifunctional office equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of office equipment, providing technical support to end-users, and conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Install and configure photocopiers and multifunctional devices in various office environments.
    • Ensure proper connectivity to network systems and other peripherals.
    • Conduct thorough testing to guarantee optimal functionality.
  2. Routine Maintenance:

    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on copiers to prevent malfunctions and extend equipment lifespan.
    • Clean and replace components, such as toner cartridges, imaging drums, and rollers.
    • Update firmware and software as needed.
  3. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Diagnose hardware and software issues with photocopiers and related equipment.
    • Respond promptly to service calls and resolve technical problems efficiently.
    • Replace faulty components and conduct necessary repairs to restore functionality.
  4. Customer Support:

    • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users in person, over the phone, or via remote access.
    • Offer training to users on proper operation and maintenance of copiers.
    • Address user queries and concerns in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  5. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities.
    • Document troubleshooting steps, repairs, and parts replacements.
    • Generate reports on equipment performance and service history.
  6. Stay Informed:

    • Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in copier and office equipment.
    • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of copier hardware, software, and networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
