Position summary: Responsible for coordination and promotion of registered Student Organizations’ trainings, initiatives, activities, and events to promote and enhance engagement and experiential learning.
Key functions:
Student organization support-specific
70%: Serve as the primary contact for all matters related to recognized Student Organizations for both sponsored organizations and affiliated organizations, providing guidance on university policies, specifically but not limited to, 8540 – Student Organization Policy and 8530 – Student Organization Event Policy.
At the direction of the department head, develop and implement communication strategies, training sessions, and leadership development programs. Manage a weekly newsletter, monthly advisor meetings, semesterly workshops, and an annual awards ceremony. Facilitate the promotion and utilization of departmental-provided resources for Student Organizations, including Pepsi allocations, mailboxes, and locker storage.
Student engagement-specific
15%: Contribute as a member of the Week of Welcome planning committee and plan/facilitate designated department signature events and marketing opportunities. Work collaboratively with campus partners to support student programs and involvement. Represent the department in enrollment management efforts such as recruitment fairs, pipeline programming, university recruitment and admissions events, and other outreach initiatives as assigned.
OrgCentral administration-specific
10%: Design and implement training sessions for the student organization management system, OrgCentral. Collaborate with Union/university information technology support and OrgCentral vendor to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
Departmental functions
5%: Provide expertise, experiential knowledge, support, and guidance regarding Student Organizations to stakeholders and the community. Serve as a member of internal and external committees. Furnish administrative and programmatic support to the department and Union. Remain current and competent by developing professional contacts with colleagues; seek out professional development opportunities, etc. Perform other duties as assigned and instructed.

Pay: $36,791.00 - $40,476.00 per year
