As the Interpreter Services Coordinator, you will support the daily operations of the Interpreter Services Department. Serves as a medical interpreter for patients and staff. Relays medical information between speakers of two different languages in compliance with all office and hospital policies and procedures. Understands and abides by all published Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Medical Interpreters.
Required:
- BA degree in foreign language, interpretation, translation or equivalent experience is required in Spanish, both oral and written.
- National Certification is required from the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) or the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI).
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Written translation and project management experience.
- Proficiency in Windows software, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
