Job Summary and Qualifications

Coordinator Quality Transplant Clinic FT Days Monday thru Friday.

This position requires a clinically proficient individual experienced in areas of clinical data design, capture, management, querying and reporting of Quality information. The Transplant Quality/Data Coordinator should be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel and function as a liaison at the department and facility levels. The Quality Coordinator will manage ongoing continuous performance improvement, evaluation of data, assist with regulatory compliance activities and provide education. The Quality Coordinator participates in the development and maintenance of the transplant statistical database and performs outcome monitoring for the department. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for development, oversight and management of appropriate clinical research projects and programs. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of computerized records and reports as well as the quality and integrity of clinical data. This individual should have the ability and willingness to function effectively in a team environment. Other responsibilities as required.

Ensures patient/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and adhering to Safety Program and Infection Control Programs.

Assures quality care through compliance with departmental policies, hospital, and external regulatory agency guidelines. 

Demonstrates caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions.

Demonstrates excellent communication skills, including active listening. Ensures patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications.

Participates as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues.

Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates behaviors consistent with established policies/procedures. 


What qualifications you will need:
  • Registered Nurse Texas License or Compact State License required
  • BLS Certification required
  • BSN highly preferred
  • Acute care nursing hospital or clinic quality management experience preferred
  • Experience and proficiency with data, Microsoft Office, Excel
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills are required, with emphasis on detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in Quality & Data Management required. 

  • Professional Certification in Healthcare Quality preferred. 

  • Experience in Transplant preferred.
