Cookie Salesperson at Queens Night Market

We are seeking friendly, outgoing, responsible person with a car or drivers license to serve as a Cookie Ambassador at Queens Night Market.

Our Cookie Ambassadors are charged with introducing the Pie Crust Cookie to every guest that visits the Janie’s Life Changing Baked Goods tent at Queens Night Market.

The Queens Night Market is a large, family-friendly open-air Night Market in Queens, featuring over 100 independent vendors selling merchandise, art, and food and featuring small-scale cultural performances, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of NYC and Queens.

We are a team that loves what they do and are looking for dedicated cookie lovers to join our crew!

Please note: This position is Every Saturday from 2:30 pm- 1am every Saturday through October Starting April 13th

Pay is $30/hr with car Plus tips or $20/hr without car plus tips! You will be working with one other team member.

What are my responsibilities as Cookie Ambassador?

• Promptly greet guests at our tent and take their orders according to procedure
• Help customers understand the menu items, answer clarifying questions
• Give each customer a warm experience and a smile in person & over the phone
• Handle cash and payments accurately and have no shortages or overages.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, restocking and maintaining our space at Queens Night Market
• Work within a small and mighty team, with flexibility to pitch in where needed to get the job done!

Requirements

MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLERS’S LICENSE OR WILLING TO GET IT ASAP

• Great communication and organizational skills
• Personal sense of urgency and responsibility
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on your feet for up to 8 hours.
• Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
• Basic Math and computer skills
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods
• Energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be consistent and reliable

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 per week

Compensation package:

• 1099 contract
• Hourly pay

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
