Position Summary

Prepares and cooks meals with optimal nutritional care for our patients, employees, visitors.

Position Duties (Not all Inclusive)

• Prepares menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintains equipment in kitchen to standard.
• Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards.
• Accurately record temperatures
• Prepare foods for various diets meeting the serving schedule for patients / employee meals to include catered events.
• Store left over foods in accordance with sanitary and other policy/procedures.
• Monitor temperatures of equipment and food in accordance with regulations.
• Prepare high quality, palatable, appetizing foods seasoned and prepared according to regional preferences, diet restrictions, and department quality standards and recipe(s).
• Keep cafeteria and patient line well stocked during serving hours.
• Safely operate and clean kitchen equipment according to manufactures dwell time and instructions.
• Other duties as assigned in order to accomplish our Mission, and vision of the hospital.
