We are looking for a new cooks to join our team!
Kitchen Cooks are responsible for preparing and grilling foods to meet specific customer preferences, and they’re often required to handle tasks in other areas of the kitchen in addition to their grill stations.
Cook Responsibilities:
- Cross train to work ALL stations on kitchen line
- Cooking assigned foods during restaurant service while complying with senior chefs' instructions and recommendations
- Plate dishes to restaurant and chef's standards
- Set up all cooking stations prior to kitchen opening
- Prep food for all stations prior to kitchen opening
- Complying with mandatory food safety standards and regulations
- Assist Chef with daily and weekly supply orders
- Prep and Cook bulk dishes for restaurant
Additional Cook job duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparing food before meal service begins, including chopping vegetables
- Breaking down and portioning meat, poultry, fish, and seafood
- Chopping and preparing vegetables and other non-meat ingredients
- Stocking ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Maintaining clean and sanitized workstations
- Checking perishable ingredients and food items for freshness
- Organizing and labeling food items in storage closets
- Chopping ingredients and sanitizing work station during and after service.
- Shredding or slicing cheese
- Preparing sauces and dressings
- Chopping and slicing produce
- Labelling, dating, and storing everything
- Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen end of every shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
