Job Summary:
Conversion Crew member is responsible for converting the building for various events including installation and removal of the basketball floor, retractable seating, stages, moving furniture and various other duties involving set up for each event.
Essential Duties:
  • Assist with event setups, changeovers, and operational tasks as directed by the manager and supervisor which may include tables, flooring, risers and portable seating, etc. are completed in a first class and efficient manner.
  • Perform facility operational tasks on non-event days including storage of equipment, furniture, tools, and identifying damaged equipment.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment. Arrange for the repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
  • Works with other in-house staff to ensure production requirements are met and promoter/client requests are fully executed.
  • Contributes to the team dynamic by assisting coworkers, maintaining the facilities' cleanliness and helping to develop and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • Able to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
  • Ability to understand, follow directions, and perform assembly set-up job functions under limited supervision.
  • Must be able to do repeated lifting, bending, standing, squatting/push, pull with arms, stoop and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Working knowledge of assembly operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging equipment, and equipment used for installing basketball floors/hockey glass i.e. sockets, wrenches, hammers, drills, impact wrench, allen wrenches, and screwdrivers.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and function in a fast-paced setting efficiently and safely.
  • Must be able to work with a team and have a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull/kneel or otherwise move approx. 50 lbs. unassisted consistently for 8 hour shift.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, in time sensitive operations, in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Dependable to work scheduled shift and varied schedule (mostly overnights) including weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift certification
  • Knowledge of staging and production equipment
