As a fully integrated contract manufacturing business, all process steps are completed on site in AST’s Oxnard facility and surrounding facilities throughout Ventura County.

AST is looking for an experienced Conventional Machinist to join our AST Team in making exciting products for the world’s leading companies.

Knowledge:

• Must be able to set up and run conventional lathes and mills, both large and small.
• Verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Be able to work from engineering drawings and sketches.
• Familiarity with running large parts and tools from steel.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with conventional lathes and mills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and fabricate parts to the drawing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
