Controls Engineer, Body In White

The Controls Engineer, BIW will have extensive theoretical and hands-on experience in all facets of automated welding shop equipment. Role requires experience reengineering automated equipment while it runs to satisfy continually changing needs of both the end user and Company. This requires understanding of the people responsible for the operation, both in strength and weakness, with foresight of future failure modes. The Controls Engineer assists the daily operation of every Line, acting as the Leader of Technology within Body Shop across 4 shifts, operating 24-7.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

• 3+ years of professional controls engineering experience
• 3+ years of advanced PLC programming knowledge on Rockwell, Siemens or equivalent PLCs in a professional environment
• HMI programming experience – AB Factory talk, Ignition or equivalent
• Robotic programming skills desired
• Flexibility in working weekends and night shift as required
