Job Description
As a consultant for Robert Half, you would join a team of great culture and work with many of our valued clients in the greater Sacramento area offering financial solutions and support to their teams. This specific client we are hiring for is seeking someone to help with:
Oversee month-end close and day-to-day cash transactions and ensure accurate recording in
the accounting system.
Monitor cash disbursements, receipts, and maintain a comprehensive cash forecast.
Develop and implement effective cash flow management strategies to optimize liquidity.
Analyze cash flow trends, identify variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with budgeting and forecasting teams to align cash flow projections with
organizational goals.
Manage and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the organization's balance sheet accounts.
Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Apply a comprehensive understanding of government fund accounting principles.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines governing nonprofit
organizations.
Collaborate with program managers to allocate costs appropriately and track grant
expenditures.
Oversee the Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing and collections.
Monitor aging reports and collaborate with program managers to ensure timely receipt of funds.
Implement and enforce credit policies and procedures to minimize delinquencies.
Generate accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for board meetings and other key
stakeholders.
Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
BA in accounting or finance required.
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
A minimum of seven years’ full-time experience in the accounting field, two of these years
must be at a management level in a similar sized agency.
Accounting experience in nonprofit organizations preferred.

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, cash management,
expenditure and disbursement requirements mandated by the California Department of
Social Services (funding Terms and Conditions) and Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG); laws
CFR 200, regulations, and reporting requirements relating to fiscal management in nonprofit
organizations and Government Fund Accounting
Knowledge of budgetary preparation and financial forecasting
