Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Distribution and Manufacturing environments, demonstrating strong financial acumen, strategic planning skills, and leadership abilities. The Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial activities, budgeting, planning, auditing, and accounting functions. This position requires someone with a strong background in financial analysis, team management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:Oversee all financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize financial performance.Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.Conduct regular financial audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to accounting principles.Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.Supervise and mentor a team of 8 or more finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and achieve company objectives.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks.Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in Distribution or Manufacturing industries.Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, planning, and auditing principles.Proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Compensation: Salary range: $140,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
