Controller - Grapevine, TX
Position Overview:
Seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting activities for the organization. This position requires strong leadership, accounting expertise, and the ability to manage the financial processes of a fast-growing organization.
Reporting to the President, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial reporting and closing activities. You will also help streamline processes, analyze financial data, and provide insights that lead to strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of 7-10 individuals, creating a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported
- Ensure all closing processes are completed on time while maintaining and developing internal controls
- Continually assess and improve financial reporting and closing processes to enhance controls, efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Manage monthly and quarterly reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Manage outside audit(s) and serve as point of contact for external tax agency(s)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with leadership among various departments
- Oversee the calculation and commission reporting for sales
- Manage sales and use tax reporting
- Oversee cash management, positive pay, ACH approvals, bank covenants
- Ability to verbally present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, auditors, bankers, and leadership
- Ability to read and analyze sales and vendor documents and contracts

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience.
- 8+ years of experience in a role(s) that required navigating fast-growth organization
- GAAP demonstrated experience required
- Great Plains experience preferred
- Microsoft Power Platform experience preferred
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
- Preferred Industry Background: Sales & Distribution, Homes Services, Construction

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year +Profit, Bonus, 401k & Benefit package
